Subscription Terms

These Subscription Terms govern your purchase and use of paid subscriptions for premium features in the Intent app (“App”). By purchasing or renewing a subscription, you agree to these terms, our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not purchase or use a paid subscription.
1. Disclaimers for paid features
Premium features (including advanced insights, AI-generated messages, extended tracking, or other paid functionality) are for general educational and self-help purposes only. They do not constitute medical advice, therapy, counseling, or professional services. Intent is not a substitute for professional healthcare. No specific results, habit changes, or outcomes are guaranteed. Individual results vary. Consult qualified professionals for personalized advice. Seek immediate professional help in a crisis. Do not rely solely on the App for mental health or addiction concerns.
2. Plans and payment
We offer auto-renewable subscription plans that provide access to premium features. Plans, features, pricing, and billing periods (e.g. monthly, annual) are shown in the App at purchase. We may modify, add, or remove features over time, subject to applicable law.
Subscriptions are processed via:
- Apple App Store (iOS) — charged to your Apple ID.
- Google Play (Android) — charged to your Google Play account.
Availability depends on your device and region. You select the method at purchase.
3. Billing and auto-renewal
You are charged at purchase and at each renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the period ends (via your device subscription settings). Renewal is charged within 24 hours before the period ends. You authorize recurring charges until you cancel.
Prices and taxes are as shown at purchase or renewal. You are responsible for applicable taxes.
4. Free trials
If we offer a free trial: no charge applies during the trial. Your subscription will auto-renew (and you will be charged) at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Trials may be limited to new users or other criteria. Any unused trial is forfeited if you purchase a paid subscription before the trial ends.
5. Managing and cancelling
Manage or cancel through the platform:
- iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Intent
- Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
Deleting the App or your account does not cancel the subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. You keep premium access until then.
6. Price changes
We may change subscription prices or plans. We will give you advance notice (in the App, by email, or as required by the platform) if a change affects your subscription. The new price applies at the next renewal. Continued use after renewal constitutes acceptance.
7. Refunds
All purchases and renewals are final and non-refundable except as required by applicable law or platform policy (e.g. Apple or Google). Refunds for App Store or Play Store purchases are handled by Apple or Google, not by us. Contact the applicable platform for refund requests. Deleting your account or ceasing use does not entitle you to a refund.
8. After cancellation or expiration
When your subscription is cancelled or expires, premium access continues until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the free tier and premium-only features are no longer available. We are not liable for loss of access or data after expiration.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Premium features and subscriptions are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of data, profits, or emotional distress) arising from your subscription or use of premium features. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the subscription in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; where they apply, our liability is limited to the maximum permitted.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of premium features or subscriptions, violation of these terms, or reliance on the App for health or life decisions.
11. Changes
We may update these Subscription Terms. Material changes will be communicated in the App, by email, or other reasonable means. Continued use or renewal after changes constitutes acceptance.
